Do Tottenham Hotspur need to sign players in the January transfer window?

Spurs were quite busy in the summer transfer window and signed defender Davinson Sanchez and striker Fernando Llorente among other players.
Pochettino has suggested that Tottenham could bring in more players next month.

“It is so difficult to try and find the player to come in and help you but maybe,” Pochettino told Football.London. “It’s an option.
“In and out, you know, because for different reasons it happens because a player arrives because he is available.”

Tottenham are out of the running for the Premier League title race and will face stiff competition for a place in the top four.
The problem that Spurs will face in the January transfer window is that they are unlikely to attract top-quality players.
There is a strong competition for places in the Tottenham first team, and not many players would be willing to join a team in the middle of a season where they would not be guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup.
Perhaps Spurs should give chances to the youth-team players and test out the talent in the club’s academy.
Tottenham will face Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
