Tottenham Hotspur haven’t signed a player in nearly a year.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that Tottenham Hotspur’s progression into the last 16 of the Champions League will have no bearing on whether he signs players in January.
Tottenham, who had one point after three group games, completed their ‘mission impossible’ on Tuesday night by reaching the latter stages of Europe’s elite competition for the second year running.
Lucas Moura netted an 85th-minute equaliser away to Barcelona as Spurs recorded a 1-1 draw – the same scoreline that Inter managed at home to PSV Eindhoven, meaning that Pochettino’s troops advanced.
Quite famously, Tottenham did not sign a single player last summer but, with January around the corner, there is every chance that the North Londoners could add to their squad this winter.
And the Argentine manager told Football London that he is no more or less inclined to bolster his ranks as a result of the Lilywhites reaching the knockout phase, though admitted that he was open to new additions.
“No I think that is not going to change our mind. Of course, it is so important for the club on both sides – in sport and on the financial side.
“It is a fantastic achievement for the club. I think the perception outside is fantastic and of course we fully deserve to be in the last 16.
“But the impact is massive in all the aspects and that is not going to change our mind. We will see what happens in January. Like I told you before, we will see. We are always open to improve.”
