Mauricio Pochetino’s Tottenham Hotspur side are due to take on Liverpool in the Champions League final.

Tottenham are due to face Liverpool in three weeks’ time in Madrid to lift the biggest prize in European football.
However, Tottenham could be without Vertonghen on arguably the biggest night in the club’s history.
The Belgian defender injured his ankle in Tottenham’s last match against Ajax.
And Pochettino’s latest update on Vertonghen’s fitness did not sound the most positive.
“Today he was very down which is normal,” he said.
“It’s the last [league] game of the season, but it’s a lot of time for him to come back. But like I always say, I hope to have all the squad available to play but if someone is not available to play then it’s about the team, a collective effort and of course we’re going to play with XI.”

Vertonghen, who is on a £100,000-a-week contract at Spurs (Spotrac), has been vital for Tottenham this season.
The experienced defender’s partnership with Toby Alderweireld has been very impressive for Pochettino’s men, and his absence in Madrid would be a huge blow.
Tottenham may have Harry Kane and Harry Winks back available for selection for the Champions League final though, in better news for the north London side.
