Mauricio Pochettino responds to Dele Alli’s contract situation.

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has denied that Dele Alli is in talks over a new contract extension.
The former MK Dons midfielder has established himself as a key player for Pochettino’s side in the last two seasons and is an integral part of the England national team as well.
Alli has recently changed his agent, Impact Sport Management’s Rob Segal, and super agents Jorge Mendes and Mino Raiola are reportedly battling for his services.
Ahead of Tottenham’s EFL Cup clash with Barnsley, Pochettino has dampened speculation in the press conference over Alli’s potential new deal.
The Argentine said that it is nothing but rumour, and the club will communicate if there is any such announcement to make.
He further added that he has no advice for Alli over his business matter, but will help him if he asks for it.

“Rumours, rumours. Like always I tell you, when something happens, or some decisions happen, the club will communicate,” said Pochettino, as quoted by Football London.
“He didn’t ask about that and that’s his business. Of course, every single player can ask me, and knock on my door and I am open to give my advice. But he is still giving us…me and I cannot say more.”
Alli has not scored since the draw against Burnley, but Pochettino is hopeful that the England international will soon find the target.
He added that it is not always easy for a young player to maintain the same level of performance every week, and that Alli needs to find his balance to get things back on track for Spurs again.

“He did very well in the last two seasons and it’s not easy for a young player to keep this level and show this level in every game,” he said, as quoted by Football London.
“It’s about maturity about finding your balance in training, competing in your life… everything.
“I am happy with Dele’s performance. He is doing very well. His potential is still massive, but he is still young and we need to help him find that balance so he can sustain his career.
“We just have to help Dele, support him and push him every single day. Then, with the talent that he has I am sure he will score again.”
