Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted to Football.London that he does not know when Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon will be back in action.

Midfielder Lo Celso, who joined Tottenham on loan from Real Betis in the summer transfer window, has played just 44 minutes in the Premier League so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Meanwhile, left-back Sessegnon – who moved to Spurs from Fulham in the summer transfer window – has yet to make a competitive appearance for the North London outfit.

While the 23-year-old Argentina international midfielder is on the sidelines at the moment with a hip injury, the 19-year-old England Under-21 international is out with a hamstring problem.

Tottenham manager Pochettino has admitted that he does not know if Lo Celso or Sessegnon will be back after the upcoming two-week international break.

Pochettino told Football.London when asked if Lo Celso and Sessegnon will be back soon after the international break: “I don’t know.

“To be honest, I don’t know because they still haven’t integrated with the group again yet and came from a long period of not playing. We need to be careful.

“It’s a bit unlucky because as new signings they can provide new energy but we cannot use them from the beginning.”

Back in action

Tottenham suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Champions League in midweek.

Spurs will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League.
