Davinson Sanchez joined Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Sanchez joined Tottenham from Ajax late in the summer transfer window for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £42 million.
This meant that the young defender did not have a pre-season with Spurs, and that when he arrived at Wembley, the 2017-18 campaign had already started.
For any player switching clubs, a full pre-season training is important, and Spurs boss Pochettino has suggested that it has been affecting the 21-year-old Colombia international centre-back.

The Tottenham manager has also reminded everyone that Sanchez is only 21 years of age.
“Yes, he has great quality and he’s still had no time to work in the way that we want to work with him, to develop different concepts,” Pochettino told Football.London about Sanchez.
“He’s doing very well though. I think it’s so tough for him to arrive and go to play without not many training sessions with the group, specific training sessions.
“He’s very open-minded and he’s so professional. Yes, sometimes we forget that he’s only 21, it’s true.”

Despite not having a pre-season with Spurs, Sanchez seems to have adapted to the team’s playing style perfectly.
The 21-year-old has already been involved in Tottenham’s matches, including the 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
