Mauricio Pochettino has told the Daily Mirror that he felt it was strange that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy asked for his input over the stadium build.

Tottenham are still waiting to move into their new home, as they put the finishing touches on the stadium.

Spurs have been determined to get their ground into the best shape as possible.

And Pochettino was even asked for his own input over how he wanted Tottenham’s new stadium to look.

“It is strange that Daniel asked for some details like this because he is the architect and he loves this kind of thing,” Pochettino said.

“But yes, he asked, because we are the professionals and afterwards we are going to be using those different things at the stadium.”

Tottenham are now expected to move into their new ground in February, although there has been suggestions that they could stay at Wembley for the whole season.

Tottenham have made the contingency plan of doing a deal for Wembley for the rest of the campaign, in case there are any more delays to their new stadium.

The length of time that Tottenham’s new ground has taken to build has caused frustrations for supporters and Pochettino.

Spurs are next in action after the international break, when they take on unbeaten Chelsea.
