Tottenham Hotspur beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has told The Times that he was happy with Serge Aurier’s debut performance against Borussia Dortmund.
Spurs kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 win over Bundesliga giants Dortmund, proving their doubters wrong after a strong performance at Wembey.
Tottenham opened the scoring through Son Heung-min before Andriy Yarmolenko curled home a stunning equaliser for the visitors, but two goals from Harry Kane sealed a superb win for Spurs.

After all the question marks over Tottenham’s form at Wembley, and the suggestions that Spurs had a difficult Champions League group, Mauricio Pochettino’s men ignored all the talk and secured a valuable three points in their first group game.
Tottenham’s win also came without the likes of Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama and Dele Alli, who were all missing, whilst one player made his first appearance for the club.
Right back Serge Aurier joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain back on deadline day in August, with the intention of replacing Kyle Walker following his move to Manchester City.

The Ivorian was left on the bench against Everton on Saturday, but came into the starting line-up against Dortmund, putting in a solid performance on his Tottenham debut.
After the game, manager Pochettino has asked for his thoughts on Aurier’s display, and he told The Times that he was happy with Aurier after just a week of training, whilst also praising the rest of his new signings.
“It was his first game after only one week training,” said Pochettino.. “I am so happy with the new signings and the whole squad. We are in a good way,”he added.
