Dele Alli is one of the best players at Tottenham Hotspur.
Alli is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and is one of the most talented and promising young players in Europe.
The 21-year-old is a key figure in the current Tottenham team, but the youngster has not been in great form so far this season.
The former Milton Keynes Dons star has scored two goals and provided one assist in seven Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this season.
Alli has been banned from the Champions League and the England national team as well this season.
Spurs manager Pochettino, though, is confident that the the England international will get back to his best and has some advice for him.
“It’s true that it is a difficult period (for him) – he cannot play in the Champions League, was banned from the national team – he’s in a period not too solid for him,” Pochettino told Sky Sports about Alli.
“But it’s normal. I am not concerned. He’s 21. He’s mature. He’s improving a lot. He is a special player. His character makes him a special player. It’s only time, again, (that he needs) to start to perform like before.”
Pochettino added: ”It’s about being more mature, no? He started from here (low) and from two seasons he was at the top of the hill. Maybe now he needs to moderate.”
All players have their ups and downs, and although this is a difficult period for Alli, he is good enough to overcome it and return to his best.
Pochettino is a very good manager, and Alli can only get better working with the Argentine boss.
