Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that Daniel Levy was ‘full of happiness’ last night as Spurs opened their new stadium.
It’s been a long, drawn-out affair, but finally – after more than six months of delays – Tottenham were able to open their new stadium against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
There have been small test events, such as an Under-18 game and a Legends match, but Wednesday was the real big opening of Tottenham’s new home.
Crystal Palace made the short trip to North London as the first visitors, and did a good job frustrating Spurs in the first half as they threatened to spoil the party.
After a goalless first half, Spurs did finally take the lead, as Son Heung-min became the first scorer at the new stadium, before Christian Eriksen added a second for Tottenham.
Having gone five Premier League games without a win, this was the perfect night for Spurs, especially after losing to Liverpool on Sunday in such heartbreaking fashion.
After the game, Pochettino admitted that he was proud to have experienced the night, admitting that it was ‘special’ just like leaving White Hart Lane, and is one of the best moments of his life.

Pochettino even shed light on Daniel Levy’s reaction, claiming he was ‘full of happiness’ and had a great energy about him, as it’s a key moment in his life too.
“I feel so proud. I am so happy and it’s difficult to describe the emotions,” said Pochettino. “It was very emotional before the game and I feel so proud to see the face of Daniel Levy. He was full of happiness, his energy. For him it’s one of the best moments in his life and it’s one of the best stadiums in the world.
“After five years together, to be here as a manager today I am a lucky man and I want to say thank you to him and everyone who made this possible. It was special like the last day at White Hart Lane. It’s one of the best moments of my life. It will always be in my heart,” he added.
