Tottenham Hotspur are in need of some much-needed three points when they take on Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino has used Jurgen Klopp and Argentine giants River Plate as examples that Tottenham can get out of their current rut.
The Spurs boss pointed towards how Klopp struggled towards the end of his Borussia Dortmund reign and how he has since recovered with Liverpool, both in the Premier League, but mainly in the Champions League.
He also pointed towards River Plate’s success in his home country of Argentina, as Pochettino suggested that Spurs’ current form is made to ‘look worse’ because they reached the Champions League final in June.
“The most important thing is that people say expectation has changed after the final of the Champions League for this club, and for this group of players,” Pochettino told Football.London. “That is why it looks worse, this situation.
“I remember Dortmund on the bottom with Klopp and after Klopp wins the Champions League with Liverpool. These periods happen. Chelsea, United and different clubs… River Plate were on the bottom and got to the Championship. Now they are winning everything. Most important thing is to stay calm and provide calm to the team.
“You drop a little bit in confidence but it is most important to build our confidence as soon as possible. Our capacity must be important to stay strong with our principles.”

From Pochettino to the fans, everyone at Spurs is looking for a solution and a way to end their current run of form which is spreading across every competition they play in.
After recording a draw against bottom-of-the-table Watford on Saturday, Spurs will now take on Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Another poor performance, and especially a negative result will only increase the pressure on the players and the manager, who needs the transfer window to re-open pretty quickly.
It looks as though Tottenham will be better off parting ways with some of their players when the winter transfer window does re-open, but it may not be an easy fix as some may think.
