Erik Lamela has scored three goals in just five appearances so far this season in all competitions.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has explained that the club deserve to have the best of Erik Lamela this season.
The 26-year-old has entered his sixth consecutive campaign with Spurs and become a major fan favourite in that time, but a spate of injuries has stalled his progress.
His best individual campaign so far in terms of goal return was the 11 he netted in the 2015/16 season, but that’s the only year he’s hit double figures.
The right-winger has started the new season in inspired form with three goals already under his belt and it looks like he is now back at full fitness.
Pochettino feels that the Argentinian owes Spurs the best of him this year, as they did splash out £25.7million to sign him back in 2013 (BBC).
“I don’t know, I hope yes,” Pochettino responded when asked if Lamela could enjoy his best season to date, as cited by Football.London.
“I think he deserves it. He’s suffered a lot in five years here. He’s had a few long injuries that kept him away from the pitches.
“He’s a great guy and was suffering a lot, and the club deserves it too because it was a massive effort from the club too when they signed him and with everything around him, and the fans.”

Lamela is yet to fully cement his spot in the starting XI this season, but continues to make an impact when he features and is one of the senior players within the squad.
The flyer has the trickery and speed to rip through defences on his day, which gives Pochettino a great option in attack to have.
There is a Champions League showdown with Barcelona on the horizon and that would be the perfect game for Lamela to repay the faith shown in him over the years with a stellar performance.
