The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been in fine form this season.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters after his side’s Champions League win over Manchester City last night, and took time to praise Moussa Sissoko’s display, suggesting that he is so happy with the Frenchman, as quoted by Football.London.

The 29-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016, for a then club record fee of £30 million, but he initially struggled to establish himself in north London.

He has been quite simply brilliant for Tottenham this season, however, proving all of his critics wrong along the way.

Sissoko has arguably been Spurs’ best player of the season thus far, and he seems to have given Pochettino’s side an entirely different dimension.

Pochettino chose to praise the France international, when speaking to reporters after last night’s game, highlighting just how much the midfielder has given his Tottenham team over the past 18 months, as quoted by Football.London:

“In the last year and a half, Sissoko is a player that has given a lot of things to us, I’m so happy with him.”

Tottenham have every chance of winning the Champions League this season, especially if Sissoko continues his fine form.

And with the Frenchman’s power and drive from midfield, Spurs really seem to be a team to be reckoned with.
