Sloppy Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shock defeat at West Brom today.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that his Tottenham Hotspur side were guilty of taking their foot off the pedal in Saturday’s shock defeat by West Bromwich Albion.
Jake Livermore grabbed a stoppage-time winner against his old club as Tottenham went down 1-0 at The Hawthorns.
Spurs had 74% possession and 18 shots – only five were on target – compared to the Baggies’ six and it looked for large spells that it was a case of when and not if Pochettino’s side score.
But they ultimately could not make the most of their chances and the Argentine manager tells Football London that his troops need to realise the importance of being ruthless at vital moments.
He said: “I think we need to realise we need to be more aggressive from the beginning and don’t wait, and to score if we have the chances, and then manage the game.

“But it was like ‘ok, we are going [to score] because we are dominating the game’. That is a little bit what punished us.”
Tottenham remain on course to qualify for the Champions League ahead of Chelsea, despite this afternoon’s setback.
The Lilywhites are five points clear of the fifth-placed Blues with two games left, though if Antonio Conte’s side win their game in hand tomorrow – a visit of Liverpool – then it could set up a nervy conclusion to the season for Spurs.
