Tottenham Hotspur are set to face off against Gillingham in the EFL Cup tomorrow.

Mauricio Pochettino has told the Hertfordshire Mercury that Tottenham Hotspur youngster Shayon Harrison has been very unlucky with injury.
Harrison has impressed in Tottenham’s development fixtures this season, and was all set to be handed a first-team chance in the EFL Cup against Gillingham tomorrow.
However, the forward has picked up a knock which will keep him out of the tie.
And Pochettino said: “Shayon Harrison is injured, which is unlucky for him because he would have been in the squad for tomorrow, but he’s not.”

Harrison is yet to make his Spurs first-team debut, but he proved his quality over pre-season.
The 19-year-old will now have to wait for another opportunity, but his absence has provided Marcus Edwards with a chance.
Edwards is two years Harrison’s junior, but the forward looks to have the potential to emerge as a star of the future.

And Pochettino has confirmed that Edwards could be handed his chance against the Gills.
“Marcus Edwards could maybe in the squad tomorrow. He could have the chance to play,” the Argentine boss added.
Despite Edwards’ likely inclusion in Spurs’ squad, it is widely expected that Vincent Janssen will start the match up-front – with Harry Kane out injured.
