Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told the Daily Mail that Daniel Levy will pay up, whether Spurs make it into the Champions League or not.

Tottenham’s place in the top four has come under threat, after a terrible run of form recently.

Spurs have won just one of their last four matches, and now must be victorious in their final two fixtures to ensure they are playing Champions League football next term.

Spurs take on Newcastle United later this evening at Wembley, knowing that three points is all that will be good enough.

But Pochettino has assured supporters that even if things go badly, Levy will provide him with funds to spend in the summer.

“The difference is massive,” Pochettino said.

“The first thing is that to win the Champions League is a dream for everyone. For me it is impossible not to give your best in these last two games. It’s in our own hands and we need to die in trying to achieve it.

“The second thing is money. I don’t think the money is a problem. Daniel is safe with the money.”

Tottenham are well aware of the need for investment next season, if they are to compete with their top four rivals.

All of the Champions League chasers in the Premier League are set to spend big this summer, and Tottenham will not want to be left behind.

After Spurs take on Newcastle this evening, their final game of the season comes against Leicester City.
