The Tottenham Hotspur forward has been a vital player for Pochettino’s side since the start of the new year.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and admitted that Heung-Min Son’s obsession with playing well affected his performances earlier on this season, as quoted by Football.London.
The 26-year-old has been mightily impressive for Spurs since the turn of the year, and he has racked up really impressive numbers this term, with 16 goals and nine assists in 32 appearances in all competitions to his name thus far.
Son is now considered to be one of Tottenham’s most important players, and he has been especially crucial over the past four weeks, with both Harry Kane and Dele Alli having been absent though injury.
It hasn’t all been plain sailing for the South Korea ace this season, however.
Pochettino told reporters how Son struggled for Tottenham up until November because he was so obsessed with playing well, as quoted by Football.London:

“When Sonny playing with freedom is one player, but when you see him in games before November, he was so obsessed with playing and performing so well, he was thinking of the national teams, this and that and it was impossible to perform in the way you want.”
Tottenham have a great chance of winning either the Premier League title or the Champions League this season, and if Son can continue his fine form, as Kane and Dele are welcomed back to the side, there is no reason why Poch’s men cannot achieve glory come what May.
