The Tottenham Hotspur ace suffered an injury yesterday.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 3-2 win away at Wolves yesterday, and admitted that he is a little bit worried about Mousa Dembele, after the Belgian was forced off with an ankle injury at Molineux, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs’ game-plan had to change after just six minutes of action, when Heung-Min Son came on to replace Dembele, and with that in mind, Pochettino will be delighted with his side’s victory.
The north London outfit will be short of options in the middle of the park now, however, with Dembele and Eric Dier out injured, so Poch will be praying that the 31-year-old is back and ready for action sooner rather than later.
The Tottenham manager spoke to reporters after the game, and admitted that he is worried about the Belgium international, as quoted by Football.London:
“We don’t know, but we are a little bit worried. We’ll see. I don’t want to say anything because we need to assess him tomorrow and of course Monday. It was a little bit of a shame because it’s not only that we changed the plan after five minutes, but for him we feel sorry for him and we hope that it’s not a big issue.”
Next up for Tottenham is their huge Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, and it looks as though they will have to make do without Dembele for a game that they absolutely must win.
