Tottenham Hotspur have climbed into third place in the Premier League table with their latest victory.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he was ‘so disappointed’ with his players after they beat Manchester United.

Spurs won 3-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign, and immediately their focus shifted after the contest.

Tottenham’s players started talking about winning the title, rather than staying grounded.

Pochettino was annoyed with his team, but he saw an improvement in their attitude at the weekend.

Tottenham beat Chelsea 3-1 at Wembley and were thoroughly dominated throughout the London derby.

But Pochettino says that his players were far more focused following their big victory this time around.

“I was so pleased after the game, it was a very good victory for us. But the most important thing is to keep humble, I was so disappointed after Manchester United victory at Old Trafford, I remember a lot of players talking about winning the title and it was only at the beginning and three points like the others,” Pochettino said.

“I am pleased because, learn to keep humble is the most important thing. Now we need to show tomorrow that we are in a very good way and use the Chelsea performance as an example.”

Despite beating Chelsea, Tottenham still have huge few days coming up.

Spurs take on Inter Milan later this evening needing to win to remain in the Champions League, before they face Arsenal at the weekend.
