The striker seems to have one last chance to prove himself at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters today during his pre-match press conference, and shared how he told Vincent Janssen that he is part of his plans for the final third of the season, after having discussed the matter with the rest of his team, as quoted by Football.London.
The 24-year-old joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £17 million, but he has desperately failed to establish himself in north London, scoring just six goals for the club.
Harry Kane is currently out injured until around early March, so the Holland international might have one last chance to prove to Pochetitno and the club’s fans that he has what it takes to make it in the Premier League.
The Argentine spoke to reporters today, and admitted that he discussed Janssen with the rest of his team before telling the striker that he will have a part to play between now and May, as quoted by Football.London:

“No, he needs to train to be involved. First of all we need to communicate with team mates and captains and we had a conversation this morning and we tell him he will be involved in the first team. Like I said before, my responsibility is to manage football people, and to treat them in the best way.”
Tottenham currently sit seven points adrift of league leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, and if they are to remain in contention by the time that Kane returns, Janssen will have to contribute with a few goals at the very least.
Whether he has the ability to do just that, however, remains to be seen.
