Tottenham Hotspur won 3-2 against Everton at White Hart Lane yesterday.
Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that Harry Kane was upset following Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-2 win over Everton.
Kane continued his fine run of goalscoring form at White Hart Lane yesterday, as he bagged a brace.
The England international striker fired Spurs in front with a wonderful long-range effort, and he then doubled Pochettino’s side’s advantage later on.
Kane earned a lot of praise for his performance, but he wasn’t totally satisfied after the contest.
The 23-year-old did have a chance of claiming a hat-trick, and Pochettino says Kane was disappointed not to have struck three times.
“He had the possibility, eh? To score another hat-trick. It was a big chance that the keeper saved. He was a little bit upset,” the Argentine boss said.
“When you have the possibility in football, you need to kill the opponent. You need to score always. He tried but he missed. He has a good mentality. He won and he scored twice but he always wants more.”
Kane has been in wonderful form recently, and has now notched eight goals his last two matches.
Kane has already scored three hat-tricks in 2017, after making a wonderful start to the year.
Tottenham’s victory over Everton has kept them in second place in the Premier League table.
