Mauricio Pochettino’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has been a talking point at the start of the new Premier League season.

In comments reported by the Daily Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino has hit back at the suggestion that he is heading anywhere near the Tottenham exit, and shared how he has held positive talks with Daniel Levy regarding the direction the club is heading in.
Pochettino’s future has been a talking point after an underwhelming start to the campaign in the wake of last season’s stunning run to the Champions League final.
Spurs have picked up just four points from their opening three games. But Pochettino insisted that he is on the same page as the chairman after talks were held between the two. He went on to describe the suggestion that he could leave as a ‘stupid rumour’.
“We had dinner, it was a very good exercise to have better communication, to make things clear,” he said, as reported by the Daily Mirror. “It was good to listen to Daniel that we are on the same page, that is the most important thing.
“Yes (I’ve had) plenty (of offers). Plenty in five years and Daniel knows. Some, not all! From everywhere. Daniel knows very well how our commitment with the club is,” he went on to add.

“We are in the business of football and we know there will be rumours.”
It has been a disappointing start to the campaign for Tottenham. But their next fixture would prove to be the perfect one to kick their season into life should they claim the victory.

Winning the North London derby at the Emirates would go a long way towards allowing supporters to think completely differently about the side’s start to the season, especially with plenty backing Arsenal to get a win after the summer they enjoyed.
And should they come out on top on Sunday, then most of the talk surrounding Pochettino’s future will surely be put to bed, particularly now that the manager himself has insisted that there is nothing in the rumours linking him with a departure.
