Everton youngster Matty Foulds has posted his delight on Twitter after agreeing a new one-year deal with the Toffees – becoming the second Everton youngster to sign a new deal in the space of 48 hours.

The 20-year-old has earned a new deal after remaining a crucial part of Everton’s Under-23 side, making 15 Premier League 2 appearances for the Toffees last term.

He becomes the second youngster to sign a new deal, after Scotland Under-21 international and impressive teenage striker Fraser Hornby agreed a deal – which was confirmed on Thursday.

He posted on Twitter after a new 12-month deal for the left-back had been confirmed, underlining his delight by posting that he is “made up” to sign a new deal with Marco Silva’s side.

Foulds is yet to make a senior appearance for Everton, after moving to Goodison Park from League Two side Bury back in 2016 – where he made his professional debut in 2016 under Garry Flitcroft.

It remains to be seen where his long-term future lies, though, with the contract only expected to see him remain at Goodison Park until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
