Dutch giants Ajax are poised to complete a deal for Matthijs de Ligt’s replacement, according to latest reports, which is good news for Tottenham Hotspur who have been tracking the coveted defender.
De Ligt, who became the youngest ever captain in Dutch football when handed the armband last January, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most promising centre-halves with Barcelona also credited with keen interest in the 18-year-old.
