Everton defender Matthew Pennington spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Leeds United.

Everton central defender Matthew Pennington has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to Leeds United.
Pennington has returned to his parent club Everton after spending the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Championship side Leeds.
The former England Under-19 international defender had injury issues during his time at Elland Road, but the 23-year-old centre-back played well overall.
The youngster made 15 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds this season.
Pennington has taken to Twitter to express his delight at signing a new contract with Everton and has also sent a message to Leeds.

Pennington’s tweet suggests that he will not return to Leeds on a loan deal next season.
Having done relatively well at Elland Road this season, perhaps it would be best for the central defender if he remains part of the Everton first team during the 2018-19 campaign and get some valuable playing time for the Merseyside outfit.
The 23-year-old central defender has what it takes to be a success in the Premier League.
