Leeds United have taken Matthew Pennington on loan from Everton, but he has failed to stay fit.

Matthew Pennington has surely blown his chance of earning a permanent contract at Leeds United, after yet another injury blow against Fulham.
Pennington was given a start for Leeds at Craven Cottage, but the centre-back was taken off ahead of time, as he hurt his calf.
The Everton loanee is now set for a spell on the sidelines, and any chance he had of making a move to Leeds permanently is now surely over.

Pennington has endured an injury plagued season since moving to Elland Road, and he has simply not shown enough to prove he is worth buying for the long-term.
The centre-back has shown flashes of quality, but his failure to stay off the treatment table for any period of time is a major concern.

Pennington has made just 20 appearances for Leeds across the campaign, and has never managed to stay in the starting line-up for a run of more than five matches.
And his latest injury against Fulham surely spells the end for the Everton man at Elland Road, as he hasn’t done enough to warrant a permanent move to Leeds.
