Matthew Pennington has joined Leeds United on a season-long loan deal from Everton in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United may not have played in the Premier League since 2004 and in recent years they have struggled to challenge for the Championship playoffs, but there is no doubt that they remain one of the biggest clubs in England.
The Whites have a massive following and often get over 30,000 fans for their home matches at Elland Road.
The West Yorkshire outfit narrowly failed to finish in the top six last season, and the fans will expect the team to challenge for the playoffs yet again in 2017-18.

Playing for Leeds is not easy and comes with huge pressure. Some players thrive on that pressure and enjoy themselves, some shrink. Matthew Pennington seems to fall in the first category.
The 22-year-old defender, who can operate as a centre-back or as a right-back, has joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Everton in the summer transfer window.
The former England Under-19 international has stated that he is relishing the pressure of playing at Anfield, having featured in the Merseyside derby last season.
During the game between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield in April, Pennington scored in the 3-1 defeat for the Toffees.

“I enjoyed that one,” Pennington told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “I’d like some moments like that at Elland Road. I’ve come to a big club where you’re under pressure to perform and that’s what I wanted.
“It’s a big club with a big fanbase and a great stage to perform on at Elland Road. It feels like the perfect place to come and I’m really glad to be here.”
