West Ham United are set to release James Collins, when his contract expires.

Matthew Etherington has said that James Collins did not hear anything about his release from West Ham United until last Tuesday, when he was emailed to be told he would be let go.
Collins is set to leave the London Stadium in the coming weeks, when his contract expires.
But Etherington suggested that Collins was not told his fate face to face by the board.
Instead the veteran centre-back was informed that he would not be kept on over email.
The decision to allow Collins to leave West Ham has been a controversial one.

Many Hammers fans are keen for the Welshman to be kept on, as he has been such a good servant for the club.
Collins may not have played regularly this term, but he remains very popular and an important influence in the dressing room.
West Ham appear set to appoint Manuel Pellegrini, and it remains to be seen whether the Chilean will fight to keep Collins at the club.
