The former West Ham winger is delighted by the capture of the Chelsea winger, as well as the rest of the east London club’s Deadline Day business.

Matthew Etherington is delighted with West Ham United’s Deadline Day business – especially the signing of Victor Moses.

Indeed, the former West Ham winger took to Twitter on Deadline Day to express his happiness with the club’s business.

And Etherington heaped praise on Moses in particular:

The Hammers co-owners have been repeatedly slated by fans over a lack of incoming signings but, on Deadline Day, West Ham have so far signed Moses, Alex Song, Michail Antonio and Nikica Jelavic.

As Opta stats show, Moses has met a very real need for West Ham after joining them on loan from Chelsea.

Indeed, the 24-year-old won more dribbles than any other Hammers star in the Premier League last season, despite only making 19 Premier League appearances (winning more than double that of his West Ham counterparts in most cases) while on loan at Stoke City.

Offering the Potters width, the Chelsea-owned winger also landed more crosses than anyone, faring relatively well in terms of chances created and also fairly well in terms of final-third passes.

Moses should be just what the Irons need, then, if he can deliver at Upton Park and fulfill his potential…
