Joe Hart has joined West Ham United on a season long loan from Manchester City.

Joe Hart has joined West Ham United on a season long loan move from Manchester City after completing his medical, the club have confirmed.

The England goalkeeper spent the last season on loan at Torino and he is not in the plans of City manager, Pep Guardiola.

According to reports from The Guardian, the deal will cost West Ham £4.5 million in total, with the goalkeeper set to earn £2.5 million in salary from the London club.

Former West Ham player, Matthew Etherington, has taken to Twitter to express his view on the move. He believes the move is a “good opportunity” for both West Ham and Hart.

When a fan asked whether it was a wise decision on West Ham’s part to sign a goalkeeper when other areas of the pitch needed immediate attention, Etherington responded that Hart is an upgrade on the current lot at the club.

According to reports from The Mirror, West Ham are also close to completing a move for Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic.
