West Ham United picked up a point in the Premier League on Thursday.

Matthew Etherington has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to West Ham United’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur.
West Ham played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham away from home at the Wembley Stadium in London on Thursday evening.
The Hammers defended well in the Premier League game and actually took the lead.
Former Tottenham and West Ham winger Etherington was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance produced by the players.

The 36-year-old was impressed with the display produced by 18-year-old Declan Rice, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton was also impressed with the performance of Rice, and so was ex-Birmingham City and Leicester City striker Steve Claridge, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport.

Claridge told BBC Sport (21:22): “Declan Rice is on the left side of West Ham’s back three. I’ve seen him play in midfield and the right side and he looks like a really good player.”
The draw with Tottenham means that West Ham are now 15th in the Premier League table with 22 points from as many matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
