It is only a ‘matter of time’ before Arsenal successfully extend Bukayo Saka‘s contract.

At least, that is what a journalist has revealed to Give Me Sport.

According to Paul Brown of The Daily Star, Saka is definitely extending his contract with the Gunners in what will be a massive piece of good news.

As things stand, Saka, who only earns £30,000 per week, is only contracted to Arsenal until the year 2024 and given his ability and potential get much, much better, the North Londoners are vulnerable to losing him for cheaper than his true worth.

However, Brown has revealed to GMS that an extension is looking certain, claiming it’s a case of when and not if.

He said: “I think it’s just a matter of time from what I’m hearing about Saka’s contract.

“He’s perfectly happy at Arsenal, there isn’t really a big club pushing to get him out of there because I think they know that he’s happy at Arsenal and wants to develop there.”

When this happens, it’s a massive boost for Arsenal.

Remember, this is a player who only turned 21 as recently as a couple of weeks ago, someone who’s going to be playing in the World Cup in a few months.

A solid spell in Qatar with England is going to cause Saka’s valuation to skyrocket and it’s imperative that the Emirates Stadium club have an extension in place before then.

Arsenal don’t want to be going into January with Saka only having 18 months left, on the back of an excellent World Cup.

That’s asking for trouble and no doubt Mikel Arteta and Edu et al know the importance of getting this wrapped up sooner rather than later.
