Arsenal fans on Twitter have been quick to wish Matteo Guendouzi a speedy recovery.

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder confirmed on social media that he has tested positive for the virus that has been spreading around the globe in 2020.

Guendouzi, who left the Gunners to join Hertha Berlin earlier this month, has said on Twitter that he feels fine, despite the positive result.

And here’s how Arsenal fans have responded to the 21-year-old:

This will be bitterly disappointing for the young French midfielder.

Guendouzi has barely kicked a ball for Arsenal since March, with his appearance in the defeat by Brighton in June leading to Mikel Arteta freezing him out his senior squad.

His loan move to Germany represented a chance to finally start playing regularly again and although that’ll be the case long term, he’ll have to now self-isolate for two weeks.
