Southampton defender Matt Targett, who is on loan at Fulham, has been very impressed by Aston Villa.

Targett, who is contracted to Southampton, feels that Villa have a real chance of promotion this term.
And the left-back is looking forward to taking on Steve Bruce’s in-form side at the weekend.
“I think if you look at their squad, it’s a Premier League squad on paper, so it will be good to test ourselves against that,” Targett said.

“It’s a massive game. We’re both in great form, so it should be a good game and hopefully we can get the three points.”
Villa have won their last seven league matches in succession to move into second place in the Championship table.
Their upcoming match with Fulham will arguably their toughest test yet though, as Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have been steadily climbing the table for months.

Targett is like to feature against Villa, as the Southampton youngster has been in impressive form since signing for the Cottagers in January.
Targett scored on Fulham’s last outing against Bolton Wanderers, and helped his side pick up a 1-1 draw.
If Jokanovic’s side can beat Villa, they will cut the gap between the two sides down to just four points.
