Matt Ritchie is one of six signings that Newcastle United have made so far this summer.

Matt Ritchie may have only been at Newcastle United for a matter of weeks, but he is already raving about Rafael Benitez.
Ritchie was interviewed by the Football League Preview Show, which was broadcast on BBC Radio Five Live, yesterday evening.
And the Scottish winger could only speak positively about Benitez, when asked whether he had enjoyed his time working with the former Real Madrid boss so far.

“He’s been fantastic. I can’t speak highly enough of him,” the former Bournemouth man said. “The training has been top draw and he has an aura around him. He demands respect and the sessions are very good. Everyone is happy.”
Ritchie is expected to have an important role to play at Newcastle this season, following his arrival at St. James’ Park.
Ritchie’s addition at Newcastle has raised eyebrows, given the impact that he had made at Bournemouth in the Championship and even in the Premier League.

Ritchie still looked to be an integral part of Eddie Howe’s squad, but Newcastle showed their ambition to bring him to Tyneside.
