Matt Polster hasn’t made a Scottish Premiership appearance since joining Steven Gerrard’s Rangers from MLS outfit Chicago Fire.

Matt Polster has admitted that he would love to make his Rangers debut in the Old Firm derby against Celtic after the international break, speaking to the Daily Record.
The 25-year-old signed for The Gers on a two-and-a-half year deal towards the end of the January transfer window, moving to Scotland after impressing in the MLS for Chicago Fire.
Polster, a versatile enforcer who can play in midfield or defence, hasn’t made an appearance for the Premiership giants yet thanks in part to a groin problem that has dogged him over the last two months.
But the American is now fit and firing and ready to step up to the plate as Rangers prepare to travel to Parkhead at the end of the month.
“I’d love to be a part of (the Old Firm derby). Obviously it’s a big match. I haven’t even seen it live. I was away when we played them at the end of the year,” Polster said.

“It’ll be quite a day. The expectation is always the same, you want to beat them.”
Rangers outplayed Celtic in the last clash between the two sides in December, Ryan Jack scoring a deserved winner at Ibrox. At the time, Steven Gerrard’s side were well placed to break Celtic’s dominance of the Scottish game but Rangers’ form has dipped since the turn of the year, bringing an end to their title ambitions.
A win for The Gers in the home of the enemy will cut the gap at the top to a still considerable seven points.
