Rangers landed Polster from MLS side Chicago Fire on Wednesday.
Matt Polster became Rangers sixth signing of the January transfer window on Wednesday afternoon, as the United States international put pen to paper on a deal until June 2021 – and he posted his delight on Instagram.
The 25-year-old has followed Jermain Defoe, Steven Davis and Andy Firth in joining Steven Gerrard’s side this month, while Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara have signed for the Ibrox club on pre-contract agreements.
Polster is a right-back that boasts plenty of pace, but is renowned for being defensively solid. He will provide back-up to captain James Tavernier and competition for Jon Flanagan.
The defender posted on Instagram after completing a deal, underlining his delight at completing a move to Ibrox where he will wear the number 25 shirt.
Polster played 91 times for Chicago Fire, 82 of which came in the MLS for Chicago Fire. The Wisconsin-born defender’s form was so impressive that he made his America debut last January.
