Rangers man Matt Polster has praised the Ibrox club’s fans after making his debut for Steven Gerrard’s side on Saturday afternoon, as quoted on the Gers’ official website.

Polster, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, made his competitive debut for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership match against Heart of Midlothian away from home at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.

The 25-year-old did not start the match, but the USA international came on as a substitute in the 87th minute, as Rangers won 3-1.

The packed Rangers away end sang ‘USA, USA’, and Polster – who joined Gerrard’s side in the January transfer window – was pleased with how the Gers fans welcomed him.

Polster told Rangers’ official website: “The support here is incredible, they are just loud the entire time and just chanting on. It helped the boys today to go and get the win.

“I thought the USA chants were funny but I enjoyed it, hopefully I can get a lot more of those.”
