Newcastle United-owned striker Dwight Gayle scored for West Bromwich Albion against Queens Park Rangers this past weekend.

Gayle – who earns £40,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – joined Championship club West Brom on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old striker was on target for the Baggies at the weekend, as Darren Moore’s side hammered Queens Park Rangers 7-1 at The Hawthorns.
Phillips, who can operate as a winger or as a striker, has praised Gayle and has underlined his quality.
“Dwight’s always scored goals,” Phillips told The Express & Star. “If you put the ball in the right areas, he’s going to get goals and Harvey’s started on flames as well so we’ve got a lot of attacking potential.”

Important player
Gayle may have failed to make an impact in the Premier League, but the striker is proven at the Championship level.
During the 2016-17 season, the 28-year-old scored 23 goals and provided two assists in 26 Championship starts for Newcastle, according to WhoScored.
West Brom are playing passing football under Moore this season, and Gayle could score a lot of goals this season.
The Baggies are doing well at the moment and will be confident of finishing in the top six of the Championship this campaign.
