The winger has been fantastic in recent weeks for West Bromwich Albion.
Matt Phillips has admitted that he did make a slow start to life with West Bromwich Albion, but suggested that he is hoping that he has turned a corner in recent weeks, the Express and Star reports.
Phillips arrived at the Hawthorns in the summer with a fair amount of pressure on his shoulders after the Baggies had endured a quiet window, which arguably saw him be their second-highest profile signing after Nacer Chadli.

And it initially appeared that the pressure was holding him back slightly as he failed to make a major impact during his first couple of months with the Albion.
But after proving much more influential in their last few games, Phillips has suggested that he still has a lot to do before he can put the unspectacular start behind him.
“It was a bit of a slow start but in recent games I’ve added a couple of goals, and that’s what I’ve got to do,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.

“It’s a start. I’ve just got to do it consistently, keep working hard, and things will happen.”
As Phillips suggested, he has been contributing much more in recent weeks. During West Brom’s three games in November, the winger has scored twice, and contributed an assist in each fixture to help Tony Pulis’ side remain unbeaten throughout the month.
