Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier suggested on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News this past Saturday afternoon (13:28pm, February 16, 2019) that Tottenham Hotspur will relish playing against Liverpool and Manchester City in the upcoming weeks.

Tottenham, Liverpool and City are the three remaining contenders for the Premier League title this season.

City and Liverpool are first and second respectively in the standings with 65 points, while Tottenham are five points behind them in third.

Pep Guardiola’s City side, though, have played a game more than Liverpool and Spurs have.

Tottenham will take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield on March 31, and will face City at the Etihad Stadium on April 20.

Southampton legend Le Tissier believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will relish playing against the Reds and the Citizens, as they will know that they can take points off of them.

Le Tissier said about Tottenham on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News this past Saturday afternoon (13:28pm, February 16, 2019): “I think if you are in that position, if you are chasing, what you do want to do is have to play those teams because then you guarantee if you win the game, they are not picking up points.”

Tottenham will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League, before facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the league next Wednesday.
