Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier comments on Ronald Koeman’s struggles at Everton.
Koeman was in charge of Southampton for two seasons between 2014 and 2016 before leaving for Premier League rivals Everton.
During his time at St. Mary’s Stadium, the Dutchman guided the Saints to seventh and sixth in the Premier League.
Everton finished seventh in the league under Koeman last season, but things are not going so well at the moment.
Having signed a number of players in the summer transfer window, including Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford, the Toffees were expected to at least push for a top-six finish in the Premier League.
The Merseyside club’s performances and results so far this season have been disappointing.
Southampton legend Le Tissier has suggested that Koeman is not doing so well at Everton at the moment because he does not have the dynamic players that he had when he was in charge of Southampton.
“He is trying to play a similar style, but I just think he doesn’t have the dynamic players at his disposal that he probably had at Southampton,” said Le Tissier about Koeman on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News last Saturday afternoon (12:47pm, October 14, 2017).
