Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier has been discussing West Ham United.

West Ham United's Scottish manager David Moyes arrives for the English Premier League football match between West Ham United and Newcastle United at The London Stadium, in east London on...

West Ham have dropped back into the relegation places after taking only a point from games against fellow strugglers Newcastle United and Bournemouth.

David Moyes faces a tough task to keep the Hammers up this season after what has been arguably the worst underperformance in the Premier League.

Hammers fans have not had much to shout about this season with only Marko Arnautovic standing out of late.

And Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier sympathises, singling out Hammers trio Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio for criticism while identifying what Moyes needs to do in the January transfer window.

Winston Reid of West Ham United during the Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United at The Hawthorns on September 16, 2017 in West Bromwich, England.

“I would think they need another centre-back,” Le Tissier told Sky Sports.

“On their day their centre-backs can do a job but Winston Reid hasn’t progressed over the last two seasons and Jose Fonte and James Collins are getting on a bit.

“They’ve got a lot of forwards who are decent on their day but they need a bit more creativity from midfield given Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio haven’t really been delivering this season.”

West Ham have been linked with a host of players already from the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Jonjo Shelvey to Joe Allen and Andre Schurrle.

But based on what Le Tissier says, Moyes would be best served following up reported interest in Swansea City centre back Alfie Mawson.

The Hammers have been linked with a swap move for the former Brentford man involving Andre Ayew and that looks like a move which would suit all parties’ needs.
