Tottenham Hotspur ace Christian Eriksen has been in superb form this season.
Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier raved about the quality of Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen, when writing a column for Sky Sports, labelling the Dane as one of his favourite players in the Premier League.
Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £12.5 million, and he has gone on to be nothing short of sensational for the Lilywhites.
In 217 games for Tottenham, the Denmark international has chalked up 53 goals and 66 assists, and is always relied upon as Mauricio Pochettino’s talisman.
Eriksen is the player who makes Spurs tick, and it really is quite remarkable how consistent the mercurial playmaker is.
A creative magician in his heyday, Le Tissier is a big fan of Eriksen.
The Southampton legend told Sky Sports how the 26-year-old is one of his favourite players in the top flight:
“Christian Eriksen is one of my favourite players in the Premier League. I’m not sure whether it is just because I like a player who can affect games without being quick, but in terms of goals, assists and seeing passes others don’t makes his contribution huge. Harry Kane must love playing with him.”
The Lilywhites still have a lot to play for this season, with qualification for the Champions League far from secured, and an FA Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to.
If Pochettino’s men are to have any chance of ending their season in successful fashion, Eriksen will have to be at his very best over the next few months, and the way things have been going for him of late, there is every chance that he will do just that.
