Barcelona reportedly want Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, who have been linked with Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.
Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Philippe Coutinho has made a transfer request at Liverpool.
According to Sky Sports, Coutinho has put in a transfer request at Liverpool, with Spanish and European giants Barcelona interested in the attacking midfielder.
It has been reported that the Reds have turned down two bids for the Brazil international from Barcelona.
The report has also claimed that Liverpool have rejected the 25-year-old’s transfer request.
Former Southampton attacking midfielder Le Tissier, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Coutinho has made a transfer request at Liverpool.
Interestingly, Liverpool target and Southampton defender Van Dijk has also made a transfer request.
The Netherlands international central defender handed in a transfer request at Southampton earlier in the week, according to The Guardian.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing the former Celtic centre-back in the summer transfer window.
