The Liverpool centre-back has been exceptional this season.

Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk has been immense this season – that’s according to Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier, who put the defender on his three man shortlist for Premier League Player of the Year, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Southampton in January 2018, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £75 million, and he has gone on to be a real hit at Anfield.
The Holland international is arguably the best central defender in world football, and he has made a huge difference to Liverpool over the past 12 months.
Le Tissier raved about Van Dijk’s quality, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, suggesting that the Liverpool man has been one of the Premier League’s best three players this season:

“From Liverpool, you would have to put Virgil van Dijk in there, I think he has been immense.”
Liverpool have a great chance to win their first top flight league title since 1990 this season, and if they are to do just that, Van Dijk will need to be at his imperious best between now and May.
