Tottenham Hotspur currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table.

Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier insisted that the best is yet to come from Spurs, when writing a column for Sky Sports, and predicted that they will finish third in the Premier League table this season.
Tottenham have been inconsistent during the first half of their domestic campaign, and currently sit in fifth position in the table, 18 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, but perhaps more importantly, three points behind fourth placed Chelsea.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men demonstrated what they are capable of in their Champions League group, however, finishing top of the pile, ahead of European superpowers Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, having taken four points from the Spaniards and six from the Germans.

With the competition for the top four in the Premier League at its’ fiercest since its’ inception in 1992, though, Spurs will have to really step up their game during the final third of their campaign.
Le Tissier explained why he believes the best is yet to come from the Lilywhites this season, when writing a column for Sky Sports, and predicted where they will finish:

“Tottenham haven’t had a brilliant first half to the season but they’re still only three points behind fourth and look like they’ve turned the corner, scoring a lot of goals, so I think their best run is to come.”
Prediction: 1st Manchester City, 2nd Manchester United, 3rd Tottenham, 4th Liverpool
Next up for Tottenham is a trip to St Mary’s to take on Southampton, and nothing less than a win will do, as they look to keep the pressure up on those above them in the table.
