Wolverhampton Wanderers fans maintained their impressive showings in the Premier League this season with a home win against Fulham at the weekend.

The Wanderers got the better of Fulham 1-0 at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday, thanks to Leander Dendoncker’s goal in the 75th minute.

Matt Le Tissier was following the match for Sky Sports, and the Southampton legend was impressed with two Wolves players – goalscorer Dendoncker, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, and forward Diogo Jota.

Le Tissier said about Jota on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News on Saturday evening (5:18pm, May 4, 2019): “I thought Jota was a real handful all day. He was so lively throughout the whole game.

“Fulham’s defence had real problems trying to cope with him, he was pretty unfortunate not to get himself on the scoresheet.”

Le Tissier added about Dendoncker: “I think in the second half of the season he has really come into his own.

“He didn’t get much a chance in the first half of the season, if I remember, because he wasn’t in that team that was unchanged pretty much at the start of the season.

“But when he’s got his chances he’s certainly taken them and made himself a real feature in the side here.”
