Jordan Pickford has been in excellent form for Sunderland so far this season.
Matt Le Tissier has told Sky Sports that Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been the Premier League’s best young player this season.
Pickford has been kept extremely busy so far this term, as Sunderland’s defence has looked so porous.
However, the 21-year-old stopper has generally impressed with his performance in goal for the Black Cats.

Pickford has arguably been Sunderland’s best player so far this season, and Le Tissier praised the England youth international for his performances.
“I’m going for Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford,” Le Tissier said when asked to pick his young player of the season so far. “I know he’s in a shocking team but I think he will turn into a top-class goalkeeper.”

Pickford has already earned an England call-up, through his good form for Sunderland.
The youngster’s excellence has not been enough to stop David Moyes’ side getting off to a terrible start, however.
Sunderland are currently rock bottom of the Premier League, after picking up just two points from their first 10 matches under Moyes’ stewardship.
