Matt Le Tissier has praised Southampton central defender Jan Bednarek on Twitter.

The Southampton legend has agreed with a fan of the club regarding the performances of the 22-year-old central defender this season.

The Saints supporter believes that the Poland international has turned into “an absolute monster”, and has suggested that he has taken over from Steven Davis as one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.

Davis joined Southampton in 2012 and is now on loan at Rangers in the Scottish Premiership until the end of the season, having joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club in the January transfer window.
